A man named Ling noticed that his seed was not growing and everyone's else was. He ended up going empty handed after a year. To his surprise he was chosen to be the emperor because all of the seeds were previously boiled so that they would not grow. Ling was the only one that was honest - and that is the theme of this story; to be honest.

One time I was at a store and a little kid was trying to buy a toy with the money they had saved. The toy was about 20 dollars before taxes, and they kid only had the 20 dollars so they weren't going to be able to buy it. I offered to pay the difference, it was only like a dollar anyway. But the kid was happy they got the toy they wanted and they thanked me. It wasn't anything big, but it felt good to see the kid happy.
