The individual does not understand what is being spoken and in some cases doesn't comprehend or understand written language which leads to learning or comnunication disorder especially in school.

Receptive language disorder can be inherited or caused by accident which lead to brain disorder or by stroke. Sometimes,receptive language disorder is caused by autism or down syndrome .
