The first thing we must do for this case is to calculate the area of both yards.

We have then:

front yard:

A1 = (50) * (80)

A1 = 4000 feet ^ 2

Back yard:

A2 = (10) * (30)

A2 = 300 feet ^ 2

"Jayden wants to lay sod on his front yard and on half of his back yard"

Then, the total amount will be:

A = A1 + (1/2) A2

Substituting:

A = 4000 + (1/2) (300)

A = 4000 + 150

A = 4150 feet ^ 2

Answer:

jayden needs to purchase 4150 square feet of sodd

Answer:

Its an area equation. Area is length times width.

So to start, he needs 50 x 80 square feet in his front yard, BUT THAT IS ONLY HALF OF THE PROBLEM. For the front yard he needs 4000 sq. feet. For the back, it is different. He needs 10x40÷2. To first simplify, we do the multiplication. This comes to 400÷2. then it is simply 200.

Now for the easy part. Take the 4000 and add 200. Answer? 4,200.

One container is filled with mixture that is 25% acid. A second container is filled with a mixture that is 55% acid. The second
algol13

Answer:

Therefore the third container contains   \frac{735}{17}\% = 43.23 %  acid.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that, One container is filled with the mixture that 25% acid. 55% acid is contain by second container.

Let the volume of first container be x cubic unit.

Since the volume of second container is 55% larger than the first.

Then the volume of the second container is

= (V\times \frac{100+55}{100})   cubic unit.

=\frac{155}{100}V  cubic unit.

The amount of acid in first container is

=V\times \frac{25}{100}  cubic unit.

=\frac{25}{100}V  cubic unit.

The amount of acid in second container is

=(\frac{155}{100}V \times \frac{55}{100}) cubic unit.

=\frac{8525}{10000}V cubic unit.

Total amount of acid =(\frac{25}{100}V+\frac{8525}{10000}V) cubic unit.

                                   =(\frac{2500+8525}{10000}V) cubic unit.

                                   =(\frac{11025}{10000}V)cubic unit.

Total volume of mixture =(V+\frac{155}{100}V) cubic unit.

                                       =\frac{100+155}{100}V cubic unit.

                                       =\frac{255}{100}V  cubic unit.

The amount of acid in the mixture is

=\frac{\textrm{The volume of acid}}{\textrm{The amount of mixture}}\times 100 \%

=\frac {\frac{11025}{10000}V}{\frac{255}{100}V}\times 100\%

=\frac{735}{17}\%

Therefore the third container contains  \frac{735}{17}\%  acid.

4 - t = 3(t-1) - 5<br> A 3<br> B 6<br> C no solution<br> D Identity
Ket [755]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

4 - t = 3(t - 1) - 5 ← distribute and simplify right side

4 - t = 3t - 3 - 5

4 - t = 3t - 8 ( subtract 3t from both sides )

4 - 4t = - 8 ( subtract 4 from both sides )

- 4t = - 12 ( divide both sides by - 4 )

t = 3

15. Explain why we need to specify 0 &lt; b &lt; 1 and b &gt; 1 as valid values for the base b in the expression logb(xx).
damaskus [11]

Answer:

The base (b) has to be positive and different of 1. The logarithm is the inverse of exponential, so:

logb(a) = x ⇒ a = bˣ

So, for b = 0 ⇒ 0ˣ = a

And there is impossible, "a" only could be 0.

For b = 1 ⇒ 1ˣ = a

And the same thing would happen, the logarithming would be to be 1, and the function will be extremally restricted.

For b<0, then the expression a = bˣ will be also restricted, and will not represent all values of a.

So, 0<b<1 and b >1.
