With containerization, all goods are loaded onto the same container that travels around the world as if it were one single piece. Therefore, the exporter can hire a series of interconnected services (truck, ship, train); all prepared to load and unload the container and easily transport it from one place to another.Containerisation has been a catalyst for globalisation. The Britain felt that they were superior to all other countries. France wanted what the British had and Germany wanted what the French had. This provoked fierce competition and each country worked to build up the strongest military. This led to an arms race between these three powers. Both Germany's and France's armies doubled in size between 1870 and 1914. The increase of military and naval rivalry led to the belief that a war was coming. Germany felt that through war, they could become a world power. As a result of the arms race, European powers were fully prepared for war when 1814 arrived.

The Stamp Act of 1765 was levied mainly at the American Colonists in order for the British to make money off of them. The colonists did not want the stamp act, and stated that it was unconstitutionanal, and became extremely violent. Parliament repealed the Stamp Act in 1766, but passed another one in a different name that includes what the Stamp Act had in it.
