Answer:

The answer is simple, no.  We are not supposed to interpret this in a way to think that the relationship between human beings and nature is always peaceful.  

We as humans degrade nature by destroying the atmosphere and putting it in such a way that it has to suffer.  Effects of this include global warming which causes nature to fight back in forms of floods, tornados, earthquakes, and many other natural phenomena.
