Answer:

So if I remember correctly, the space race was like the arms race. Russia vs USA.

During the cold war (As we all know, fighting wasn't happening except in words. And threats as every 5yr old does today.)

Anyway the space race, was a race to put the first man on the moon, Russia succeeded, then the US. First it was rovers, then solar panels, then Ships. The space race during the cold war was trying to challenge the opposing country.

Explanation:

Basiccaly cat vs dog, or life vs death. But no death or cat vs dogs, was happening here. Just a race to get to space first. In the cold war, opponents were racing to get new technology done, because without advanced tech, how would you get to the moon, and no the moon isnt cheese sadly.
Russia had some advancements already and USA saw that Russia was doing better, so they rushed to put the man on the moon and succeeded, Russia didn't until later.

The space race was a race and a rush of doing one thing first than the other, like a race, but for space. Thus the name space race. Space as we know, is space, the place that holds thousands of universes together and that includes our planet earth.

True or False? The terms polyandry and polygyny can be used interchangeably because they mean the same thing
ella [17]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

polygyny means one man married to multiple wives, polygamy is “the practice or condition of having more than one spouse, esp. wife, at one time.”

in 1874, how did many sioux respond to the federal government’s order to remain on their reservation? the sioux ignored the orde
masha68 [24]

The Sioux disregarded the government's command to stay on their reserve and left the area to hunt buffalo in 1874, according to many of them.

The Sioux were a large group of Native Americans who spoke three closely related languages that belong to the Siouan language family. The word "Sioux" is an acronym for the Ojibwa term "Nadouessioux," which means "Adders," or "foes" in English. The Mdewkanton, Wahpeton, Wahpekute, and Sisseton were members of the Santee, commonly known as the Eastern Sioux, who spoke Dakota. The Yankton and Yanktonai were Nakota-speaking people of the  Sioux Yankton tribe. Speaking Lakota, the Teton are also known as the Western Sioux. They were divided into seven groups: the Sihasapa, also known as the Blackfoot, the Brulé (Upper and Lower), the Hunkpapa, the Miniconjou, the Oglala, the Sans Arcs, and the Oohenonpa, also known as the Two-Kettle.
