The Ethnic conflict in the nation of Rwanda had the result of a genocide and a civil war.

What was the result of ethnic conflict in Rwanda?

Since independence, Rwanda had suffered ethnic conflict between the majority Hutu and the minority Tutsi which eventually led to small scale massacres of the Tutsi by the Hutu.

As a result, a civil war broke out between the Hutu dominated government and the Tutsi dominated Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF).

In 1994, the President of Rwanda was killed in an air attack and this led to a genocide where Tutsis were targeted by the Hutu.

800,000 thousand people who were mainly Tutsi were killed until the RPF was able to take over the country by defeating the government.

(20 Points for correct answer!)
Ray Of Light [21]
Madison begins perhaps the most famous of the Federalist papers by stating that one of the strongest arguments in favor of the Constitution is the fact that it establishes a government capable of controlling the violence and damage caused by factions. Madison defines factions as groups of people who gather together to protect and promote their special economic interests and political opinions. Although these factions are at odds with each other, they frequently work against the public interest and infringe upon the rights of others.

Both supporters and opponents of the plan are concerned with the political instability produced by rival factions. The state governments have not succeeded in solving this problem; in fact, the situation is so problematic that people are disillusioned with all politicians and blame government for their problems. Consequently, a form of popular government that can deal successfully with this problem has a great deal to recommend it.

Do you believe there is slavery alive and well in any part of the world today? What can we do to reverse any negative effects of
Juliette [100K]

yes i believe slavery still exists and is pretty much everywhere wether you realize it or not. If you are christian like myself and you believe the way I do just pray and trust that god will give the ones who 'own' the slaves, god will give them strong conviction and take control and give the slaves a chance and give them better lives. And maybe and hopefully they will repent and get right with god. and maybe eventually slavery will end for good including trafficing for sex slaves, hard labor for slaves of other races, and all types of slavery.
