She will have $57 back because the ticket are buy one get one free and she has 7 friends so for  3 tickets that u buy 6 of your friend get to go and then thei is still one more friend so you have to buy one more ticket so 10.75*3=32.25
and 32.25+10.75=43    and 100-43=57

jonny [76]
3/8 of a foot = 3/8 x 12/1  or 4  1/2 inches

So our 1/2 inch grows by a factor of 9  because 4 1/2 ÷ 1/2 = 9  Think how many 1/2 dollars are in 4  1/2 dollars.  (Answer is 9)

So our 8 4/9 in the catalog has to grow the same

8  4/9   x 9  = 8  4/9  x 9/1 = 76/9 x 9/1  or 76 inches which is 6 ft 4 inches.

A sporting good store is offering an additional 30% off all clearance items and she purchases a pair of running shoes on clearan
Talja [164]

Answer:

Total discount = $39.50

                  or 46.47 %

Step-by-step explanation:

First we need to figure out what she will pay for the shoes.  She is getting 30 percent off the 65 dollars.

Discount = price * percent off

                = 65*.3

                = 19.50

The cost of her shoes is the price minus the discount.

Cost = 65- 19.5

        = 45.50

To find the total discount, take the original price and subtract the final cost.

Total discount = 85-45.50

                        = 39.50

To find the total percent discount, we use the formula

      total percent discount = (original - final)/original * 100

                                             = (85- 45.50)/85 * 100

                                             = 39.5/85*100

                                              = 46.47%

A rocket is launched into the air. The height h(t), in yards, of the rocket is a function of time, t, in seconds, as shown in th
Vesna [10]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Average rate of change is the same thing as the slope.  Because this is parabolic, we cannot find the exact rate of change as we could if this were a linear function.  But we can use the same idea.  When t = 3, h(t) = 33, so the coordinate point is (3, 33).  When t = 6, h(t) = 0, so the coordinate is (6, 0).  Plug those values into the slope formula:

m=\frac{0-33}{6-3} and

m=\frac{-33}{3} which is -11

From 3 to 6 seconds, the rocket is falling 11 yards per second.
