Which pair of angles is an example of supplementary angles?

Mathematics
1 answer:
Andrej [43]2 years ago

Answer:

Angle1 and Angle2 are supplementary.

Step-by-step explanation:

There are at least 8 pairs and I want to say up to maybe 16 pairs if angles that are supplementary.

Supplementary angles add up to 180°. So any pair that is lying together on a straight line (that's 180°) are supplementary:

1&2

2&4

3&4

1&3

5&6

6&8

7&8

5&7

Since angles don't have to touch in order to be supplementary there are many more pairs.

In Lucille’s class, 35% of the students have blond hair. There are 20 students in the class. How many students have blond hair.
MrRissso [65]

Answer:

7 the answer is 7

Step-by-step explanation:

1. We assume, that the number 20 is 100% - because it's the output value of the task.

2. We assume, that x is the value we are looking for.

3. If 20 is 100%, so we can write it down as 20=100%.

4. We know, that x is 35% of the output value, so we can write it down as x=35%.

5. Now we have two simple equations:

1) 20=100%

2) x=35%

where left sides of both of them have the same units, and both right sides have the same units, so we can do something like that:

20/x=100%/35%

6. Now we just have to solve the simple equation, and we will get the solution we are looking for.

7. Solution for what is 35% of 20

20/x=100/35

(20/x)*x=(100/35)*x       -

20=2.85714285714*x       -

20/2.85714285714=x

7=x

x=7

now we have:

35% of 20=7

we multiply both sides by x

then we divide both sides by 2.85714285714 to get x

What is 5 7/8 minus 2 9/10?
Alexus [3.1K]

5 7/8 - 2 9/10

we can make 5 7/8 into an improper fraction of 47/8

we can also make 2 9/10 into an improper fraction of 29/10

find a common multiple between the denominators 10 and 8 - the smallest would be 40

47/8 will be made into 235/40

29/10 will be made into 116/40

235/40 - 116/40 = 119/40

simplify 119/40 and you get 2 39/40

decimal form is 2.975

30+ Point for AND BRAINLIEST FOR FASTEST!!!!!!
Serga [27]

1) If a die is rolled once, determine the probability of rolling a 4: Rolling a 4 is an event with 1 favorable outcome (a roll of 4) and the total number of possible outcomes is 6 (a roll of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6). Thus, the probability of rolling a 4 is ¹/₆.

If a die is rolled once, determine the probability of rolling at least a 4: Rolling at least 4 is an event with 3 favorable outcomes (a roll of 4, 5, or 6) and the total number of possible outcomes is again 6. Thus, the probability of rolling at least a 4 is ³/₆ = ¹/₂.

Here are two more examples:

If a coin is flipped twice, determine the probability that it will land heads both times:

Favorable outcomes: 1 -- HH
Possible outcomes: 4 -- HH, HT, TH, TT

Thus, the probability that the coin will land heads both times is ¹/₄.

If Dan grabs one sock from a drawer containing 3 white socks, 4 blue socks, and 5 yellow socks, what is the probability that he will grab a white sock?

Favorable outcomes: 3 (3 white socks)
Possible outcomes: 12 (3 white socks + 4 blue socks + 5 yellow socks)

Thus, the probability that Dan will grab a white sock is  ³/₁₂ = ¹/₄.
