Answer: Depicted below

Step-by-step explanation:

The <u>Pythagorean Theorem</u> is an equation that can prove a triangle is, in fact, a <em>right triangle</em> (a right triangle is a 3-sided shape that contains a right angle).

Secondly, we know that a and b are the <em>legs</em> of the triangle, and c is the <em>hypotenuse</em> (there’s an image that I’ve uploaded that shows the parts of a right triangle).

So, a = 8, b = 15 (you can switch these), and c = 17. So, the equation should look like this:

8^2 + 15^2 = 17^2 - simplify the powers (the caret symbol is used to     identify a power)

64 + 225 = 289 - simplify the left side by adding

289 = 289 - the equation is true, meaning that the triangle is a right triangle

Answer:

see below

Step-by-step explanation:

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

a and b are the legs and c is the hypotenuse

15^2 + 8^2 = 17^2

225 + 64 = 289

289 = 289

Since this statement is true, this is a right triangle

frozen [14]

There are 9C_3 ways to select 3 from 9.

There are 5C_3 ways to select 3 men from 5 men and 4C_3 ways to select 3 women from 4 women.

If all three selected are men, then no woman was selected, and we have

5C_3 \times 4C_0 ways we can do that.

1)

P(All -3 -are -men)=[tex]\frac{5C_3 \times 4C_0}{9C_3}=\frac{5}{42}

2) If all 3 are women then no man was selected, and we have

5C_0 \times 4C_3 ways we can do that.

P(All- 3- are- women)=\frac{5C_0 \times 4C_3}{9C_3}=\frac{1}{21}

3) If 2 men and 1 woman were selected, the we have 5C_2\times 4C_1 ways we can do that.

P(2 -men -1 -woman)=\frac{5C_2\times 4C_1}{9C_3}=\frac{10}{21}

4) If 2 women and 1 man is selected, then we have  5C_1 \times 4C_2

P(2- women- 1 -man)=\frac{5C_1\times 4C_2}{9C_3}=\frac{5}{14}

COPY-<br> Evaluate each expression if a = 4, b = 6, and c = 2<br> -&gt; 3a +6²c<br> What is
Klio2033 [76]

Step-by-step explanation:

a=4 so 3a becomes 3x4.

3x4=12

12+6c^2

C=2 so 6c^2 becomes (6x2)^2

6x2=12 and 12x12 because of the exponent.

12x12=144

12+144=156
