My name is Ernesto. In the afternoon, I do homework and when I finish, I put my books in my backpack. Then, my brother and I eat

dinner. When I finish dinner, I brush my teeth, wash my face, and I put on my pajamas. My brother showers, brushes his teeth, shaves, and gets ready for bed.

means “I wash myself” as it is used in past tense

it means “i wash (myself)” and would be used when saying “i brush my teeth” and “wash my face” like ernesto did in the passage. hope this helps!
