Hi can someone think a response so I can write back to my teacher. So basically we had finals and on the day of the exam (for th

at class) I did the test but when I submitted it (I wasn’t finished but we had to go to home room) it didn’t say “your work is being processed” instead it kept going back to the last question not wanting me to submit it. Then I told my teacher about this and he said that he submitted the test for me but besides number 4 (which was an essay). At the end he said that he doesn’t know if it was by design. I looked up if what “design” in this case meant and it says that I haven’t answered number 4 on purpose (which I didn’t I was on my second paragraph not done though) And now I don’t know of how to respond to what he said because I don’t want to sound like “oh it’s because I didn’t finish” or like something that would make him think I just didn’t do it.

What was the effect of the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution?
ANTONII [103]

Answer:

It increased US involvement in the Vietnam War, because it allowed the US President to make military actions, like increase troops, without formal declaration of war.

Explanation:

The Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, passed by Congress in August, 1964, after alleged attacks on two US naval ships in the Gulf of Tonkin.  The key wording in the resolution said:

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, that the Congress approves and supports the determination of the President, as Commander in Chief, to take all necessary measures to repel any armed attack against the forces of the United States and to prevent further aggression.

That resolution served as a blank check for President Johnson to send troops to whatever extent he deemed necessary in pursuance of the war.  Between 1964 and the end of Johnson's presidency in 1969, US troop levels in Vietnam increased from around 20,000 to over 500,000.

Where does henry say he receives his insight into the future
Trava [24]

This question is incomplete, here´s the complete question.

In his "Liberty or Death" speech where does Patrick Henry say he receives his insight into the future?

Answer: The past

Explanation:

Patrick Henry´s “Liberty or Death” speech was delivered at the 1775 Virginia Convention, summoned to establish a strategy in the negotiation with the British Crown.

Henry was a strong opponent of the British taxation policies and wanted to convince those who wished a pacific reconciliation with King George

to establish a defensive position against him.

According to the single known account of his speech, developed by the biographer William Wirt based on his correspondence with some of the Convention´s attendants, Henry said:

"I know of no way of judging of the future but by the past. And judging by the past, I wish to know what there has been in the conduct of the British ministry for the last ten years, to justify those hopes with which gentlemen have been pleased to solace themselves, and the House?”

Why is bad news important for nations
lara [203]

Answer:

The news is something that a journalist makes. There has to be a sort of tension when reading a piece of news, because if it wasn’t for tension, that I, not the news.

Explanation:

The journalist has a mission to find out the truth and to says it but the other thing is that he has to keep the power of telling the news.

If everything told is already known, when reading it it wouldn’t be news. If you say to the public that bad things are happening, but there are solutions for this, that is not news. The journalist has to decide what will be represented as news.
