Answer:

 12x²y² +2xy -2

Step-by-step explanation:

The distributive property is used to multiply polynomials.

 (3xy -1)(4xy +2) . . . . . . . . . . . . . given

 = (3xy)(4xy +2) -1(4xy +2) . . . . multiply the 2nd by the terms of the 1st

 = (12x²y² +6xy) +(-4xy -2) . . . . here are those products

 = 12x²y² +2xy -2 . . . . . . . . . collect terms (6xy-4xy = 2xy)

In this diagram which equation could you prove to be true in order to conclude that the lines are parallel
KiRa [710]
I would say that the correct answer is D. because y is always the numerator while x is the denominator for the equation y2 - y1/x2 - x1 which means if there is two y's or two x's on the same line you subtract the second one from the first one. If there is only one y and/or x and the other is 0 on the same line, it stays at y or x without subtracting y2 - y1 or x2 - x1.

Since b is on the y coordinate and -a is on the x coordinate, you would make it b/a while -a is gonna be a positive since the lines are going up and to the right. Now, since c is the y coordinate and d is the x coordinate, make C the numerator and d the denominator since y is always the numerator and x is the denominator for these parallel line figures on the graph and the equation will be equaled to the fraction to the other fraction for parallel lines.

So, your answer would be D. b/a = c/d

Hope this helps, and is correct!

The incorrect work of a student to solve an equation 2(y + 6) = 4y is shown below.
Lina20 [59]

Answer:

⇒ A. 2 should be distributed as 2y + 12, y = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

Here are the steps to solve this equation:

Given:

First step: 2(y+6)-4y

Use the distributive property.

Distributive property:

⇒ A(B+C)=AB+AC

2(y+6)

2*y=2y

2*6=12

2y+12

Isolate the term of y from one side of the equations.

2y+12=4y

Subtract by 12 from both sides.

2y+12-12=4y-12

Solve.

2y=4y-12

Then, you subtract by 4y from both sides.

2y-4y=4y-12-4y

Solve.

2y-4y=-2y

-2y=-12

Divide by -2 from both sides.

\sf{\dfrac{-2y}{-2}=\dfrac{-12}{-2}}

Solve.

Divide the numbers from left to right.

Solutions:

-12/-2=6

\Longrightarrow: \boxed{\sf{y=6}}

 • Therefore, the correct answer is A. "2 should be distributed as 2y+12, y=6".

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Answer:

6√2

Step-by-step explanation:

A 45 45 90 right triangle, so ratio of leg : leg: hypotenuse = a: a : a√2 (a = value of leg)

Given: leg = 6

So the ratio of leg : leg: hypotenuse = 6 : 6 : 6 √2

Answer:

x = 6√2
