No, 2(3n+3)=6n + 3 is not true.
first you distribute the 2 into 3n and 3, the problem should look like this:
6n+6 = 6n+3

2(3n+3)=6n+3 are not equal to each other because if you distribute 2 into (3n+3), then you get 6n+6 which is not equal to 6n+3

10| x – 4| - 3 > 47
Andrew [12]

Answer:

x < -1    or    x > 9

Step-by-step explanation:

10|x-4|-3>47

Add 3 to both sides.

10|x-4|-3+3>47+3

Simplify.

10|x-4|>50

Divide both sides by 10.

\frac{10|x-4|}{10} >\frac{50}{10}

Simplify.

|x-4|>5

Apply absolute value rule: If |u|>a,a>0 then u < -a or u>a

x-4 or x-4 >5

x-4

Add 4 to both sides.

x-4+4

Simplify.

x

x-4>5

Add 4 to both sides.

x-4+4>5+4

Simplify.

x>9

Combine the intervals.

x or x>9

Twenty-five members of the eighth grade class at Park Center Middle School are going to a museum and then to lunch. Each student
Damm [24]
There are two costs involved:

1) the cost for lunch, which is given as a rate per student: $7.25/student

2) the cost for the trip which is $443.75 to be divided by the 25 students, so it is $443.75 / 25 = $17.75/student

Now, you can add up those two costs per student to have the total cost per student:

$7.25 + $17.75 = $25.00/student

Answer: $25.00
