Cecile is writing an editorial for the school paper in which she argues that all public schools should require school piniforms.
umka2103 [35]

Answer:

A paragraph discussing how hard it is to get students to do their homework

Explanation:

Piniforms or uniforms do affect (either positively or negatively) students' behavior and academic performance at school. But they have nothing to do with the difficulties in getting students do their homework. So this paragraph is irrelevant; and hence does not merit inclusion in the final draft of the paper.

All other options (paragraphs) are relevant to the school paper in one way or the other.

Part 1

Text structure is how you organize your information. For example, you may want to organize it in a cause/effect scenario, or using chronological order. For example, a text structure can take on the form of such:

First, Japan surprised attack Pearl Harbor even when they were trying to hold peace conferences with the USA as a promise that they would hold the US's neutrality. This leads to President Roosevelt's famous "Day of Infamy" speech, which led to the US declaring war on the Axis Powers, and the internment of Americans with Japanese Ancestry (Nisei and Issei). Finally, the Issei's had to endure harsh treatments in the camps, and were fin ally let out of the camps following the Japanese surrender.

While this does not give the complete picture, it gives a feeling of a chronological order (in which after the attack of Pearl Harbor, it led to the Infamy speech, which led to the internment of Japanese Americans). It also gives a cause and effect (because of the attack, there is consequence for the Japanese Americans). This is just one of the structures you can use, but of course there are many more examples you can give.

Part 2

In the passage no gumption it shows the presence of a descriptive structure and describes and idea and helps explain the characters by depicting them to the reader. To build a fire shows sequential structure by explaining he ideas in a time order. The story also shows that his actions led up to his hardships because of his decisions.  And do it yourself. ;)

Hope this helps!!!

This genre reveals the journey traveled by the main character into various walks of life. It shows the changing of protagonist from being foolish to wise, his development and maturing.

Through the Tunnel is a short story written by Doris Lessing. This short story was first published in 1955 in the magazine of American weekly.

The story is about Jerry, who is eleven years old and has come for vacations with his mother, who is a widow. On the second morning of their vacations, during their routine of swimming and sunbathing, when Jerry's mother ask him if he wants to go somewhere else, Jerry denies and rather says that he wants to explore 'wild and rocky bay'.  He wants to swim there because he wants to show his mother that he is mature and grown-up now, and doesn't need his mother to accompany him everywhere.

When Jerry goes through rite of passage which the big boys have made, the story classified that it is a bildungsroman short story or a coming of age story.
