Answer:

35.28 cm³

Explanation:

Volume of triangular prism = Area of Base × Length

Find area of base of the triangle:

1/2 × base × height = 1/2 × 4.2 × 2.8 = 5.88 cm²

Then find volume:

A × L = 5.88 × 6 = 35.28 cm³

Answer:

4

Step-by-step explanation:

7x = x² - 8

=> x² - 7x - 8 = 0

use quadratic formula:

a = 1, b = -7, c = -8

x = \frac{-(1)±\sqrt{(-7)^{2} - 4(1)(-8) } }{2(1)} <em>(pls ignore the "A" I don't know why it's showing up)</em>

=> x = \frac{-1±\sqrt{49 + 32} }{2}

=> x = \frac{-1±9 }{2}

=> x = \frac{-1 +9}{2} = 4 or \frac{-1-9}{2} = -5 <em>(the answer is only 4 since it's asking for the positive solution)</em>

If the lateral area of a right rectangular prism is 384 cm^2, its length twice its width, and its height is twice its length, fi
Katen [24]
Width = w
Length = 2w
Height = 4w
w \times 2w  = 384 \\  {2w}^{2}  = 384 \\  {w}^{2}  = 192 \\ w = 13.86cm
Width = 13.86cm

Hope this helps. - M

Guys, I really really need some help badly! I don't understand how to get the "GCF" aka greatest common factor. Can someone plea
Setler [38]

After I explain the procedure in full detail, you'll be able to generate
your own work.  Here it is.

To find the greatest common factor of two numbers:

1).  List all of the factors of the first number.

2).  List all of the factors of the second number.

3).  Scan both lists, and find factors that are on BOTH lists.
These are the COMMON factors.  Write them down in a short list.

4).  Scan the short list.  Find the biggest number on it.
That's the Greatest Common Factor.

OK, I'll go through the first one in your picture . . . 24  and  42 :

1). Factors of 24:  <em>1,  2,  3,</em>  4,<em>  6,</em>  8,  12,  24

2). Factors of 42:  <em>1,  2,  3,  6,</em>  7,  14,  21,  42

3). Short list:    <em>1, 2, 3, 6</em>

4). Biggest number on the short list:<em>  <u>6</u> </em>
