Niche may be defined as the role of the individual organism in its ecosystem. The function or the physiological activity of the organism in the area describes the niche. The association of the organism with the biotic and abiotic component to obtain food is included in niche. Niche explains the way by which organisms live in an ecosystem.

What is niche with example of giraffe?

The niche of the giraffe is exclusively African savanna. There they feed on the leaves of the long trees. Then the long neck of the giraffe helps in acquiring their food from the top of the trees, where other animals cannot reach.

Due to the long neck, they experience issues with drinking water from the rivers, so, they drink a lot of water once in several days (2-3). They also acquire water from the vegetation they eat. The baby giraffe serves as a good prey for the lions and hyenas.
