Some of the principles of the constitution that can make it democratic include: Popular sovereignty whereby people are allowed to elect their leaders; Limited government whereby people’s rights and civil liberties are respected; Separation of powers to ensure no branch becomes too powerful; Judicial review whereby the courts cab review the lawfulness of a decision or action made by a public body and Federalism whereby the federal and state governments share power
