Mercury: it has a crater-filled surface, with very high temperatures since it is closest to the sun; has a very thin atmosphere.

Venus: also very hot with high pressures and a very thick atmosphere compared to other terrestrial planets; slightly smaller than Earth.

Earth: only known planet to support life; mostly water but with many large landmasses, as well.

The moon: crater-filled; gets its light by reflecting the light from the sun.

Mars: aka the Rusty planet, it sports a red color due to iron oxide; has valleys and volcanoes; colder than Earth.

Jupiter: largest planet, with a swirling atmosphere and many different cloud formations; has storms and 63 moons; gas giant.

Saturn: also a gas giant; most known for its rings that are made up of particles that were attracted by the planet's gravitational pull.

Uranus: known as the ice giant with a large atmosphere of methane, as well as a faint ring system.

Neptune: also very cold, and named the blue planet; the interior is mainly methane ice; has a faint ring system and 13 moons.

The. of earth's rotation axis stays the same as it orbits the sun
yuradex [85]

Answer:

The tilt of earth's rotation axis stays the same as it orbits the sun.

Explanation:

The axis of the Earth is an imaginary line around which the Earth is known to orbit. The axis of the earth is known to tilt at an angle of 66 and a half degrees. The tilt of the axis of the Earth remains the same and it does nor change as the earth orbits around the sun. The orbiting of the Earth around its axis causes day and night to occur on the planet Earth. The rotation of the Earth around its axis is slowing with time.

What is the differences between cellular respiration and respiration
3241004551 [841]

Think of respiration as ‘cellular respiration,’ which is the process by which the body extracts energy from glucose molecules. Breathing is the mechanism of the lungs that brings oxygen into the body and expels carbon dioxide

Respiration is a vital way for the cells of plants and animals to obtain and utilize energy. Without this energy, cells in the bodies of plants and animals would fail to function and will eventually break down and die. The breaking down of sugar into energy and storing it in ATP is the key to the survival of living organisms.

The formation of ATP involves two different processes, cellular respiration and fermentation. The reactions to these processes are controlled by enzymes and involve the loss and gain of electrons.

Cellular respiration takes place in the cells of organisms using metabolic reactions and processes to convert biochemical energy from the nutrients they absorbed into ATP or adenosine triphosphate and to release waste products.

The energy derived from nutrients like sugar, amino and fatty acids, an electron acceptor which can be oxygen (used by aerobic organisms) or other inorganic donors like sulfur, metal ions, methane, or hydrogen (used by anaerobic organisms) are stored in ATP and used for biosynthesis, locomotion and to transport molecules in cell membranes.

Cellular respiration can be aerobic or anaerobic. Aerobic respiration requires oxygen to generate ATP and plants and animals use this in utilizing the energy they received.

Scientists have been studying threats to coral reefs. The figure below shows where threats to reefs have increased (dark shading
erastova [34]
Since you are trying to investigate the possible variables that contribute to reef threats, it is advisable that you do an environmental study between two reefs that have characteristics that are similar or are closely similar. With this, you will be able to identify which is the primary cause of reef threats. Thus the correct answer is B.
