Oksanka [162]

This question is missing the options. I've found them online. They are as follows:

The first four lines of the poem make up a

a) couplet

b) quatrain

c) sonnet

The last two lines of the poem make up a

a) couplet

b) quatrain

c) paraphrase

Answer:

The first four lines of the poem make up a b) quatrain

The last two lines of the poem make up a a) couplet

Explanation:

The numbers mentioned in the question already give us the answers. A stanza is a group of lines in a poem. If a stanza has only two lines, it is called a couplet. If the stanza has four lines, it is a quatrain.

In this poem by Shakespeare, the first stanza is:

Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?

Thou art more lovely and more temperate:

Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,

And summer’s lease hath all too short a date;

It is a quatrain with an ABAB rhyme scheme.

The last stanza is:

So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,

So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

Since it is made up of two lines, it is a couplet. The rhyme scheme is GG.

can someone help me write a introduction for pride (how do price would positive trait ,and how it would negative trait )
rosijanka [135]
Pride can be a good or bad thing. For example, having pride in yourself can help with confidence and self-esteem. On the other hand, having too much pride can lead to ignorance and irrational decisions. Think of some examples from literature to represent this two-sided trait. There are plenty of characters in novels who had just the right amount of bravery and assurance, and the same goes for self-obsessed antagonists, as well. I would say definitely use your time wisely. Make sure you are fully focused too. Though it may be difficult to focus, (I understand) try and find some outside resources that can help you bring interest into what you're learning in any subject.
