Verna has no idea how she ended up in her current surroundings. She feels comfortable and is not bothered by the fact that she c
Musya8 [376]

Answer:

A). Dissociative fugue.

Explanation:

'Dissociative fugue' is elucidated as the dissociative psychiatric disorder in which the patient suffers from severe amnesia which might be the product of a psychological trauma or illness. In such a disorder, the person loses his/her sense of identity and other associated autobiographical information about himself/herself.

As per the given description, <u>option A</u> correctly describes Verna's disorder as her loss of awareness about her past experiences('how she ended up in her current surroundings') implies that she suffers 'amnesia' and her comfortable and non-concerned attitude to know about her past reflects that 'she is attempting to escape/dissociate the stressful conditions(which might have led her to the present situation). Thus, this strengthens the conclusion that she is experiencing <u>'dissociative fugue'.</u>

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP WRITE ME A POEM BASED OFF OF IDENTITY!!
Ivenika [448]

Answer:

The raw sound which flows from an instrument

Permeating the air with distinct chords and

The beat, the harmonious beating of a drum by one who has become one with it

I acquaint myself with the feeling of wood as my fingers grip the drumsticks once again

Begging to make contact with my drum

Begging to make something beautiful, a sound, a symphony,

Begging to bring with it, memories of times my being felt such passion

And then take away something of me also, just to return it when next i grace the stools where legends and bands had sat upon

Like the legacy of black sabbath as i absorb the music like a feast knowing that it may be my last supper,

But i take it in anyway, the Rush, like a lover, lays claim a piece of my heart

And i let it, because i give away myself so i may receive of them greater than I am

Can someone write me a five-paragraph essay on "The White Umbrella" please? I'll give Brainliest and 60 points! Or just tell me
Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

She then realizes just how important of a role her mom plays in her life. In the story The White Umbrella, the narrator, a young girl Chinese girl that goes to school with Americans, and has seemed that she has not completely found herself yet. Her mother and father both work. She shows her embarrassment of her mother working. After school, her sister and her take piano lessons at Miss Crossman’s house. While she sat and waited on her turn she spotted the white umbrella. She thought that she needed to hold it to fit in with others.

Her mother has told her that they can not afford extra things for them to have. She wants to have things like others instead of just showing herself and accepting that she can not have all the extra things like other kids. When her turn came to play the piano she tries’s her best to try and impress Miss Crossman. The narrator shows her insecurity by not accepted Miss Crossman’s ride, instead of walking in the rain. After piano lessons they waited outside in the rain. She offered them to come inside and she refused to do it.

Mona, the narrator’s sister finally decides to go inside. Miss Crossman goes outside and talks to the narrator. The narrator lies to Miss Crossman and tells her that her family drives a Convertible, and that her mother, a concert pianist, will come to pick them up anytime. Miss Crossman gives the white umbrella to her. She tells Miss Crossman that she wishes that she would have been her mother. The narrator begins to feel guilty, and that the Umbrella shows her disobedience towards her mother.

After their mom finally shows up, she hides the umbrella underneath her clothing so that her mother does not see. They get into a car wreck on the way home. She sees that her mom’s eyes are closed. She begins to think her mother may have died. She decides to scream. Then she sees that her mom just closed her eyes because things have frustrated her. When her mother gets out the car to talk to the other people in the accident, she throws the umbrella down the sewer.

This shows that you should never show ungratefulness for what you have. It does not matter about what you need to fit in with the people around you. It only matters what you need to live well. The white Umbrella, an informal story, it gives a life lesson. It can also entertain anyone who wants to read it. The narrator now knows how important her mother’s role has on her life. Hopefully she will show herself for now on instead of trying to carry on like others around her.

Read lines 395 – 398 of Beowulf:Now you may enter, in your battle-armor, / wearing war-masks, to see Hrothgar; let shields stay
vaieri [72.5K]

The correct answer is swords.

The Anglo-Saxons frequently used kennings in their work. A kenning is a mini riddle, usually hyphenated, that was used to describe something. For example, the kenning "she-wolf" was used to describe Grendel's mother, as it highlights her ferocity.

Here, the kenning "battle-shaft" is used to describe their swords, which must wait to be used until the deliberations have finished. This is an appropriate kenning for a sword because swords (a) are used in battle and (b) are long and narrow.
