The correct answer for this question is (A) Groups of cells form tissues.

In multicellular animals, a group of similar cells alongwith inter-cellular substances perform a specific function. Such an organization is called tissue. All complex animals consist of only four basic type of tissues. These tissues are organized in specific proportion and pattern to form an organ like stomach, lung, heart and kidney. When two or more organs perform a common function by their physical and/or chemical interaction , they together form organ system, eg., digestive system, respiratory system, etc. Cells, tissues, organs and organ system split up the work in a way that exhibits division of labour and contribute to the survival of the body as whole.

How many lumbar vertebrae are there in a typical adult skeleton?
garri49 [273]

Answer:

5 lumbar vertebrae

Explanation:

As you can see in the image I annexed, a typical adult skeleton has 5 lumbar vertebrae (colored in red), they are cylindrical bones located between the rib cage and the pelvis, they are the largest segments of the vertebral column. These vertebrae carry all of the upper body’s weight, they protect the spinal cord and nerves in the vertebral canal, they also provide flexibility and movement to the trunk region.

I hope you find this information useful and interesting! Good luck!

After the gram staining procedure, you realized you went too fast and have forgetten to apply the 95% ehtanol. What might be the
LekaFEV [45]

Answer:

In gram staining, 95% ethanol is used to destain the gram-negative bacteria but gram-positive bacteria do not get destain because peptidoglycan layer in gram-positive cell wall does not allow crystal violet- iodine complex to come out of the cell wall.

Gram-negative bacteria do not have peptidoglycan cell wall and so crystal violet comes out of the cell wall by using 95% ethanol because ethanol dissolves the lipopolysaccharide membrane of gram-negative bacteria and allow the dye to leak out.

Therefore if I forgot to apply 95% ethanol than crystal violet dye will not come out of the lipopolysaccharide cell wall of gram-negative bacteria and it will appear violet under the microscope.
