Hey there!

The Fertile Crescent was where ancient civilizations in places like Mesopotamia by the Sumerians and other peoples conquered and created towns. This was mainly because of the rich, fertile, soil, that allowed lots of food surpluses along with riches and fortune. The soil allowed for good farming, so processing and creating food was also allowed.

The reason it was fertile was because of two rivers that surrounded the crescent: the Tigris and Euphrates river. Although some argue the Euphrates is more impactful, they both often flooded and their waters kept the soil suitable for farming.

Hope this helps!

The fertile cresent lives up to it's name, because it is an area that has some of the 'richest' soils in the Middle East, and is generally supplied with silt (which is rich in nutrients and good for farming). Because of this silt, the land is productive and fertile. It is also an area that usually had moderate - large amount of rains, as well as rivers that flow throughout the area

poizon [28]

The case Roe vs. Wade in 1973 was one when the Supreme Court authorized woman's legal right to abortion. Judges voted the decision 7-2 with the argument that the woman's right to abortion was protected by the privacy rights of the Constitution Fourteenth Amendment.

This represented an example of judicial activism where the judges considered to decide constitutional issues and to invalidate execution actions.
