What was one of the results of the Holocaust?
ss7ja [257]
Many Jews became involved in the rebuilding of Germany.

There actually are many results of the holocaust. One result was the creation of the state of Israel. After World War I part of the Ottoman empire was carved out to create the Protectorate of Palestine under the control of England.

The British had promised the Jewish people a state in the middle east in return for the support of the Jewish people during World War I. This was called the Balford Declaration

After world war II the British wanted to give the protectorate to the Arab's in return for access to oil reserves. This ignored the Balford Declaration.

The United States petitioned the United Nations to split the Protectorate into two states one for Israel and one for the Arabs.
The sympathy throughout the world because of the 6 million Jews killed in the Holocaust caused the vote to go in favor of the creation of the state of Israel.

Only in 1948 when the memory of the horror of the Holocaust was fresh would the world have voted in favor of the creation of the state of Israel.
