The colonel Arthur Brooke and his men retreat from north point because they couldn't take on Major General Smith's 12,000 American troops without Vice Admiral Cochran's support.

<h3>Who was Colonel Arthur Brooke ?</h3>

The colonel Arthur Brooke was the solider in the British army who is famous for the  Battle of Baltimore which is also known as Battle of  North point in 1812.

He played as the significant role in the battle as the commander in chief. He and his companion was send to the north point to acquire the Washington in September in 1814.

After his death of this companion he assumed the support of the Admiral Cochran and waited for him because he couldn't fight against the 12000 American troops.
