Why were boy scouts and girl scouts founded
Fed [463]

Lord Robert Baden-Powell was a British actor, painter, musician, soldier, sculptor and writer. He founded the World Scout Movement on August 1, 1907. He participated in various military campaigns in Africa, which stood out and gained great popularity among the British population.

After returning to his native island, the publications of his books grew and became, thus, a leading author in the field of education and youth training worldwide. His ideas, embodied in "Scouting for Boys" and other works, inspired groups of young British to form patrols, which began in an informal way the scouting (youth activity created to combat crime).

In 1912 the first Scout groups were founded in Spain. From 1917, King Alfonso XIII, was protector and President of Honor of the Explorers of Spain and, seeing in that movement a means for "the training of excellent citizens", he registered in the institution his four sons. Before, in 1915, Alfonso XIII, yielded to the explorers, a plot on Mount El Pardo, for permanent camp.

After obtaining various awards and recognitions, he retired with his wife to Kenya, where he died, there his grave has registered one for all the scouts of the world. Between their works they emphasized: Aids to the Scouting for NCOs and Men, (1899) Sports in War (Sport in War) (1900), Scouting for Boys (1908), Anecdotes for Scouts (Yarns for Boy Scouts) (1909), Games for Scouts (Scouting Games) (1910), The Book of Girl Scouts (How Girls Can Help to Build Up the Empire) (1912), Scouts Beyond the Seas (Boy Scouts Beyond the Seas) (1913) and Quick Training for War (1914).

Explain how former slaves were denied their 15th amendment rights.
Ray Of Light [21]

The Fifteenth Amendment had a significant loophole: it did not grant suffrage to all men, but only prohibited discrimination on the basis of race and former slave status. States could require voters to pass literacy tests or pay poll taxes - difficult tasks for the formerly enslaved, who had little education or money.
