A juvenile girl who has been declared her brain as dead should not be taken off of life support if her parents want her to live.

When person's brain can be declare dead?

When a person on an artificial life support machine no longer has any brain functions, this is known as brain death (also known as brain stem death). This means they will not be able to regain consciousness or breathe without assistance. A person who is brain dead has been legally declared dead.

Reference: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5102188/

Death, as opposed to the process of dying, is an irrevocable occurrence that occurs suddenly. However, empirical evaluation of any particular event "needs a certain time interval.

A teenage girl who is declared brain dead should not be removed from life support which is parent’s wishes to keep her alive.

Who is brain dead?

An individual is declared brain dead when such is not able to respond to any brain stem reflexes, unable to respond to stimuli and breath spontaneously.

According to Trevor et. al. the consent of the patient's parents must be gained before a drastic decision, such as removal of life support, is being made.

Therefore, the resources that can be used to resolve this dilemma is by abiding by the ethics of the medical profession which is to gain consent from the unconscious patient's relative before carrying out the procedure.

Which individuals would be expected to suffer from a deficiency of water-soluble nutrients?
almond37 [142]

Individuals who suffer from illness or infection may have poor absorption or increased excretion suffer from a deficiency of water-soluble nutrients

 • The B vitamins — folate, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin, vitamin B6, and vitamin B12 — and vitamin C are the nine water-soluble vitamins.
 • A clinical condition caused by a deficiency in one or more of these water-soluble vitamins can have serious morbidity and death effects.
 • Water-soluble vitamins are quickly absorbed by the body, so you won't need to store a lot of them to help maintain your body's nutritional needs balanced naturally.
 • Serious deficiencies may result in Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome and beriberi, two diseases.
 • Various symptoms, such as anorexia, weight loss, decreased neurological function, mental health issues, muscle weakness, and enlarged hearts, are linked to these illnesses.
