First, we must solve the equation for y in order to be able to find the slope of the perpendicular line.
2x + 2y = 24
2y = -2x + 24
y = -x+ 12
now, the slope of a perpendicular line is going to be the opposite reciprocal of the first slope, meaning that the sign (positive or negative) will be opposite and the slope will be reciprocated (or flipped.
if the slope of the first line is -x, then the slope of the second line would be x. hope this helps!

Darron is taking college classes while in high school. The classes cost $200 plus $35 for every credit hour. y = total cost of c
grin007 [14]

Answer:

y = 35x+200

Step-by-step explanation:

The $200 is a constant, and the $35 PER credit hour makes it dependent on x.

Tourists from a tour bus were asked about places they visited during their stay in a city. The results are shown in the table.
denis23 [38]
So I added all of the numbers of tourists together, I got 30 tourists. Then I saw that the number of tourists that visisted the museum but not the zoo was 5. I divided 5 by 30 and got that there was a 16% chance that a randomly selected tourist would of visited the museum but NOT the zoo.
Hope this helps!

If the random variable X is normally distributed with a mean of 75 and a standard deviation of 8, then P(X ≥ 75) is:a. 0.500b. 0
drek231 [11]

Answer:

a. 0.5

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that X follows normal distribution with

mean=75

standard deviation=8

P(X\geq 75)=P(\frac{x-mean}{standard deviation}\geq \frac{75-75}{8})

P(X\geq 75)=P(Z\geq 0)

P(Z\geq 0)=P(0<Z<∞)

The area under the normal curve is 1 and the  (0<Z<∞) =0.5 and (-∞<Z<0) =0.5

So, P(0<Z<∞)=0.5

Hence the P(X ≥ 75)=0.5

Find the area of this figure
Natasha_Volkova [10]

Answer:

a = 16.13 ft²

Step-by-step explanation:

Triangle

a = (1/2)bh

a = (1/2)6 * 4

a = 12

Semicircle

a = (1/2)πr²

a = (1/2)(3.14)(3²)

a = 14.13

Combined figure

a = 12 + 14.13

a = 16.13 ft²
