Which statements about World War II are true?
IrinaK [193]

Most sea battles in the Pacific were fought by aircraft carriers attacking each other.

Some Allied offensives saw the use of large numbers of parachute and glider troops.

Some German scientists, such as Einstein, helped the Allies defeat the Nazis.

Explanation:

The World War II was the worst thing that has happened to humanity. Countries from all around the world were involved in it with millions of people suffering from it. Countries got destroyed, economies crumbled, and lot of rebuilding needed to be done afterwards.

When it comes to the Pacific, the sea battles were mainly fought between aircraft carriers, whose military plains were attacking the enemy's aircraft carriers. The dominant warfare in the Pacific though was the island by island fighting between the soldiers.

The Allies started to use new tactic during the World War II when it came to gaining ground fast and unnoticed. That was done through the usage of parachutes and gliders, and this was used mostly in the Pacific and in Europe.

Ironically, some German scientists actually helped the Allies to destroy Germany. Einstein had the biggest influence there. He managed to create the production of atomic power, which in turn was used for the creation of the atomic bomb which was used for for destroying and intimidating the countries of the Axis.

How did the u.s. acquire Gadsden purchase
Lunna [17]

James Gadsden was sent to Mexico with several points of negotiation as well as a wide budget. He was authorized to offer Mexico up to $50 million for California and as much as $15 million for the part of northern Mexico that the U.S. wanted for a railroad. While Santa Anna refused to sell California, he was willing to give up a part of Mexico's northern territory.

Santa Anna agreed to sell 45 thousand square miles of land to the tune of $15 million. In addition, the United States agreed to continue doing their best to protect Mexico from Native American attacks, while Mexico agreed to no longer hold them financially liable for any damages. Gadsden and the Mexican president signed this initial agreement on December 30, 1853.
