substitute

squirrels

b) (1.06)=(1+0.06)

0.06 is the percent growth rate

0.06=6/100-----> 6%

Keith_Richards [23]
Given:
Big cone     : diameter = 12 cm ; height = 18 cm ; base = 14 cm
Small cone: diameter = 12 cm ; height = 6 cm ; base = 14 cm

Volume of a cone-shaped container = π r² h/3
Big cone:
V = 3.14 * (6cm)² * 18cm/3
V = 3.14 * 36cm² * 6cm
<span>V = 678.24 cm³

</span>Small cone:
V = 3.14 * (6cm)² * 6cm/3
V = 3.14 * 36cm² * 2cm
<span>V = 226.08 cm³

</span>Big cone - small cone = volume of water
678.24 cm³ - 226.08 cm³ = 452.16 cm³

A survey of athletes at a high school is conducted, and the following facts are discovered: 13% of the athletes are football pla
nekit [7.7K]

Answer:

The probability that an athlete chosen is either a football player or a basketball player is 56%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the athletes which are Football player be 'A'

Let the athletes which are Basket ball player be 'B'

Given:

Football players (A) = 13%

Basketball players (B) = 52%

Both football and basket ball players = 9%

We need to find probability that an athlete chosen is either a football player or a basketball player.

Solution:

The probability that athlete is a football player = P(A)= \frac{13}{100}=0.13

The probability that athlete is a basketball player = P(B)= \frac{52}{100}=0.52

The probability that athlete is both basket ball player and  football player = P(A\cap B) = \frac{9}{100}=0.09

We have to find the probability that an athlete chosen is either a football player or a basketball player P(A\cup B).

Now we know that;

P(A\cup B)= P(A) + P(B) - P(A \cap B)\\\\P(A\cup B) = 0.13+0.52-0.09=0.56\\\\P(A\cup B) = \frac{0.56}{100}=56\%

Hence The probability that an athlete chosen is either a football player or a basketball player is 56%.

REALLY NEED HELP<br><br> Evaluate the following expression.<br><br> (−2.2 )·(−2)·(−14)·(5)
Lisa [10]

Answer:

-308

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

=(−2.2 )·(−2)·(−14)·(5)

  • As "-" sign into "-" becomes "+"
  • (2.2)(2) = 4.4

=(4.4)*(-14).(5)

  • As (-14)*(5)  = -70

=(4.4)*(-70)

  • Multiplying 4.4 with -70

= -308

I hope it will help you.

if a circle is divided in half and that half is divided into two more halves what is the angle created
Alina [70]
A circle is 360 degrees. When cut in half, 360/2 = 180, the new angle of the shape is 180. Cut the half circle in half again and you get 180/2 = 90. It sounds like you only need to cut it into half twice, (if not, then you divide it in half how ever many times it says to) The angle would be 90 degrees. Hope this helps!

D=5, a10=48. find a45
arsen [322]

Answer:

223

Step-by-step explanation:

  1. it is an arithmetic sequence and we will use this formula
  2. an = a1+(n-1)d
  3. now first we will find a1
  4. a10= a1+(10-1)d
  5. 48= a1 +9×5
  6. after simplify
  7. a1=3
  8. now using again this formula we can easily find a45
  9. a45= 3+(45-1)4=223
