Answer:

y = -3x + 15

Step-by-step explanation:

The general structure for an equation is slope-intercept form is:

y = mx + b

In this form, "m" is the slope and "b" is the y-intercept.

The slope of a perpendicular line is the opposite signed, reciprocal of the original line's slope. So, if the slope in the original equation is (m = 1/3), the slope of the perpendicular line is (m = -3).

Now that we know the slope, we can use the "x" and "y" values from the given point to find the value of "b".

y = mx + b                           <----- Slope-intercept form

y = -3x + b                           <----- Plug -3 into m

-3 = -3(6) + b                       <----- Plug in "x" and "y" values from point (6,-3)

-3 = -18 + b                          <----- Multiply -3 and 6

15 = b                                  <----- Add 18 to both sides

Since we identified that m = -3 and b = 15, you can substitute these values into the general equation to find the equation of the new line.

y = -3x + 15

I need help with a math question but apparently everyone is dead today..
Gwar [14]
The answer is D. I’m assuming this is surface area so here’s my explanation:) ok so the area of the triangle is 6 (4x3 divided by 2) and when you add the other triangle that’s 12. Ok so we have 12 so far. Then the area of the bottom rectangle is 24 (3x8). Then the area of the side rectangle is 32 (4x8). THEN the top rectangle’s area is 40 (8x5). When you add the numbers up (12+24+32+40) you get 108! And of course dont forget the cm2. ( centimeters squared ). :) I hope this helps

Solve for x please, will give braknliest
kow [346]
Answer: The answer should be 72

Explanation: Triangles add up to 180. The two bottom points are the same. So you would take 180 and subtract it by 36. That would give you 144. You would then take 144 and divide it by 2, because the two angles are the same and your only trying to find one.
