podryga [215]

Standard US institutions such as the press and the postal service make Henry David Thoreau feel as described in the following:

"He does not believe they make meaningful contributions."

Henry David Thoreau addresses the standard US institutions that are used to communicate and disseminate information as not being helpful since, in his opinion, they have had nothing significant to provide, according to the details in Walden.

He claims that news is outdated as a result because it is made up of recycled stories that are intended to harm people negatively. These are a tool of control, in his opinion.

The book I choose to do is the Weedflower.

Explanation:

The book, Weedflower, is about a 12 year old girl named Sumiko. It takes place before and after Pearl Harbor. Franklin D. Roosevelt signs a bill that allows the army to move all peoples of Japanese ancestry, even if like Sumiko was born in the US. As suspicions grow, Sumiko and her family find themselves being shipped to an internment camp in one of the hottest deserts in the United States. The camp she is moved to is also on a Native American reservation and there she finds that the life she has come to known is now gone. Here, she finds the Native Americans and feels that the Japanese are still unwanted as before they moved here. She meets a young Mohave boy who might just become her first real friend, when he can ever stop being angry about the fact that the internment camp is on his tribe's land. This book tells the truth of how Native Americans and Japanese met through the eyes of a young girl, desperate to fight it, make friends, and find a normal life

How will good character help you succeed in life? In at least 200 words plz
Leya [2.2K]

Answer:

Please Read Below!

Explanation:

Character is defined as "the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual." Throughout life, you will be faced with numerous obstacles, and you will be forced to make countless decisions. Having a good character means staying true to your morals, and simply maintaining decency no matter what you face in life. No matter the industry, or the job, people will always appreciate a person with good character, over someone who is willing to throw all morals and respect away for fame and success.

Some people may argue that the only path to success if fueled by ruthlessness and a hunger for winning. Yet, the real definition of success is being content with what you have done in life, and to have no regrets. There is no bigger success than to be content, and to not regret the decisions you have made. Having a good character will ensure that no matter what you come across in life, you will go to bed knowing that you always made the right decision. Your choices were not made from selfish desire, but rather, from a heart of kindness and good faith. A good character is a person with pure mental and moral qualities.
