The Renaissance came about with the weakening of the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages, leading to political and social changes that positively impacted society.

What was the Renaissance?

It was a philosophical and political movement that generated significant changes in the Middle Ages, beginning the transition to the modern age. With the weakening of the Catholic Church and the conquest of civil rights for the lower classes, the monarchy was losing its dominance in Europe and in the American colonies, which fought for independence.

Therefore, the renaissance period instituted new social visions, focusing on humanism and reason as its main characteristics.

What forces led Americans to declare war on Britain in 1812?
Mice21 [21]
There were several immediate stated causes for the U.S. declaration of war: first, a series of trade restrictions, Orders in Council (1807), introduced by Britain to impede American trade with France, a country with which Britain was at war (the U.S. contested these restrictions as illegal under international law); second, the impressment (forced recruitment) of U.S. citizens into the Royal Navy; third, the British military support for American Indians who were offering armed resistance to the expansion of the American frontier to the Northwest. President James Madison and Congress declared what is sometimes referred to as the 2nd War of Independence, the War of 1812.
