The gases are part of the greenhouse effect, which traps the warmth from the sun in the earth. Global warming will cause melting of glaciers and ice sheets which will rise ocean water levels, flooding many coastal areas and cities. That is only one problem of global warming. Global warming is on the rise and the effects are very dangerous.
