After Reconstruction, the South chipped away at the freedoms that Blacks had gained by enacting Jim Crow laws and using intimidation.

By 1900, African-Americans were heavily marginalized in the South and responded by setting up their own structures and coming up with a unique way of life.

What happened after Reconstruction?

After Reconstruction ended, the South acted quickly to curtail the rights that Black people made when they passed laws that subjugated Black people through Jim Crow and unequal voting laws.

As a result, Black people became heavily marginalized and had no say in the running of the South. They therefore came up with their own way of life, and avoided conflict with Southern Whites.

How did the Congressional response to the Soviet-Afghan War change Americans’ perspectives about the global role of the United S
olga_2 [115]
I believe that the correct answer should be B), because he worsened the relations with the Soviet Union, relations that were much better during the time of previous president, Richard Nixon. It wasn't that much about the Afghan people, since he thought that i posed a""a grave threat to the free movement of Middle East oil". Also, he lost his 1980 election to Ronald Reagan, who promised-and delivered-an even more vigorous anticommunist foreign policy, which is why I strongly believe that the correct answer is B).

valentinak56 [21]
President Wilson's policy of Moral Diplomacy concentrated on building democracies in other countries. More specifically, it stated that support would only be given to countries whose moral beliefs were in line with American beliefs. He used this to economically damage countries who he saw as a threat to the United States and hoped to increase the number of democratic nations in Latin America.
