In the first cell, the metal silver (Ag) is plated and in the second cell, the metal nickel (Ni) is plated.

What are electrodes?

Electrodes may be defined as electrical conductors operated to construct connections with a nonmetallic part of a circuit. An electrode is referred to as an anode or a cathode depending on the direction of the flow of electrons.

In the first cell,

Ag^+ + e^- → Ag E^0 = 0.80V.

Al^3^+ + 3e^- → Al E^0 = -1.66V.

In the second cell,

Zn^2^+ + 2e^- → Zn E^0 = -0.76V.

Ni^2^+ + 2e^- → Ni E^0 = -0.25V.

Since the cells are connected in series:

E_t_o_t_a_l > 0.

∴The total potential, E^0_t_o_t_a_l = E^0 _c_e_l_l1- E^0 _c_e_l_l2

= (0.80 + 1.66 ) V - (0.25 +0.76 ) V

= 2.97 V

Therefore, it is well described above.

Water conservation. What do the words bring to mind? Doing without? In reality it can be done by making very minor changes aroun
ira [324]

The correct answer is (c) Don’t leave your tap running while brushing your teeth, shaving, or washing the dishes. Fix leaky faucets and pipes right away.

As seen in the bar graph that huge amount of water is wasted in the domestic ways. By using the water in adequate amount and saving the water that is wasted while running the tap while brushing and fixing the leaks as soon as possible will save a huge amount of water. The bar graph is covering maximum wastage of water from these sections only. By reducing the water used in brushing, leaky faucets and others can save maximum water.

How many atp are made in the electron transport part of cellular respiration
Dmitry [639]

Answer:

34

Explanation:

The electron transport chain of cellular respiration includes oxidation of NADH and FADH2. The electrons from these reducing powers are passed to the terminal electron acceptor via electron transport chain. During the transfer of electron via electron transport chain, the generated electrochemical gradient drives ATP synthesis.

The net yield of NADH from glycolysis and Kreb's cycle is 2 and 6 per glucose molecule respectively. In addition, decarboxylation of pyruvate also obtains 2 NADH per glucose. Kreb's cycle forms 2 FADH2 molecules during reduction reactions. In total, 10 NADH and 2 FADH2 are formed which then enter the electron transport chain and drive ATP synthesis.

One molecule of NADH generates the electrochemical gradient enough to drive the synthesis of 3 molecules of ATP while each FADH2 obtains 2 ATP molecules. Therefore, total 10 x 3 = 30 ATP molecules from oxidation of NADH and 2 x 2 = 4 ATP from oxidation of FADH2 are obtained.

Please i need help asap. Are the limiting factors abiotic or biotic factors? Explain your answer.
SIZIF [17.4K]

Answer:Limiting factors can be both.

Explanation: Biotic limiting factors can be the amount of food in the area, mates, and competition for other resources. But they can also be abiotic due to tempature, natural, disasters, sunlight and stuff like that.

Alona [7]
A) In a population of bed bugs, variation exists. Some variation provides resistance to the pesticides. Those bed bugs survive to reproduce, passing the resistance on to offspring
