The NLF got support of the Vietnamese people, as they offered the Vietnamese people with great assistance for daily chores during the Vietnam War.

<h3>What is the significance of the Vietnam War?</h3>

American troops had entered the Vietnamese regions, and captivated civilians, in order to prevent Vietnam from being a communist nation. This gave rise to the Vietnam War.

However, the NLF, or National Liberation Front, sent its Viet Cong personnel in the society to help the civilians. As a result, the civilians supported the cause of unification of the NLF.

Hence, the significance of the Vietnam War is given above.
