What were your initial impressions of the releasing in the giver?
inna [77]
My thoughts on the release, were that they were too harsh. In the beginning of the Giver Jonas sees  a jet fly overhead, and then sees it land, everybody is then told that the pilot will be released, If you don't know what the release is, it is a injection that instantly kills you. Thanks - DK

Which sentence is consistently iambic?
BabaBlast [244]

The correct answer is D. Forget about the plan

Explanation:

A line, sentence, or verse is iambic if this is composed of iambs, which are units with an unaccented syllable and an accented syllable. Additionally, in language accented or stressed syllables are those that you pronounce with more emphasis and due to this, these are also "long" syllables.

In the case of the line "Forget about the plan," this uses iambs because the line is composed of unstressed/stressed syllables "Forget about the plan" (stressed syllables are in bold). Indeed, in this line, there are three iambs, which is known as iambic trimeter.

The extended metaphor in the passage is that wise men know that dark is right at thirty end. Because their words had forked no lightning, they do not go gentle into the Dravidian language ( aka gond ;-).
