B. Section headings

Section headings serve as guide to the reader, marking the different subdivisions and topics to be discussed. By simply looking at a text with section headings, the reader can see the overview of the whole article or essay. However, long paragraphs bore the reader and ruin the interest of the reader. They make the reader lose interest in the material and often miss the main idea being explained.
