I went over details about this play 2 years ago and I remember that in the movie and script, Juliet had expressed herself outloud on her balcony not knowing that Romeo had been listening and was rather hesitant with him after learning that he was there watching her because now he knew about her feelings but she did not yet know about his or whether or not he meant all of his "sweet-talking" words. In fact he had to reassure his love for her several times after.
For this assignment, it is basically comparing the positive and negative effect of using technology to study individually. Just pick a side and stick to that topic. Here is two example thesis statement for both sides.
Pro: many students have difficulty learning at the same pace as their peers, technology gives them the opportunity to be able to study at their own pace from their home and it also motivates students to broaden their knowledge on worldly matters in which they do not receive in a typical school setting.
Cons: When studying for a test or simply doing homework, technology is not the best choice. Students need the physical interaction between them and the teachers or other peers as it will help them to be able to produce critical thinking on any matter, communicate, collaborate with others, and be creative;the 4 C's that are not always produced successfully when using technology as a source of studying.
These are just examples. You can use any type of examples but, you don't want to make it too broad. Also, when making key points for your thesis or when making a thesis, always be direct. Never use 'I think', 'I believe', etc. as it makes it seem as if you are not sure of your points. If you need anymore help, feel free to ask. A syllogistic fallacy is more of a generalization than it is a sequence or analogy. This error of reasoning occurs by first mentioning something broad/general then proceeds to make a conclusion about something that is very specific by means of generalizing. For example, this would be considered fallacy of syllogism:
All jets are air crafts. All propeller airplanes are air crafts. Therefore, propeller airplanes are jets.
Thus, you can see how a generalization is made about propeller airplanes being jets because they are both air crafts.
