There are 1,16,280 different recital programs possible.

Given: A pianist plans to play 4 pieces at a recital from her repertoire of 20 pieces and is carefully considering which song to play first, second, etc.

It means the repetition of pieces is not allowed.

When repetition is not allowed, then the number of ways to arrange n things where r things taken together is given by:-

^{n} P_{r} =\frac{n!}{(n-r)!}

Now, the number of different recital programs are:-

^{20} P_{4} =\frac{20!}{(20-4)!}=\frac{20*19*18*17*16!}{16!}=116280

Hence, there are 1,16,280 different recital programs possible.

17. If the perimeter of square 1 is 104 ft and the
Black_prince [1.1K]

Answer:

none of the choices is correct

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the length of the side of square 1, divide the perimeter, 104÷4 = 27

That is the hypotenuse of the triangle.

The square of 27 is 729

Subtract the given square of Square 2, 576

729 - 576 = 153

Take the square root of 153 to find the length of the side of Square 3

√153= 12.37

I hope this helps. It's just a bit more challenging version of Pythagorean Theorem: a² + b² = c²

A recipe calls for 3 times as many chocolate chips as butterscotch chips. If there are 25 oz of chocolate chips, how many oz do
Bingel [31]

The amount, in oz of butterscotch chips needed by proportional reasoning is; 75oz.

What is the amount of butterscotch chips needed by proportional reasoning?

It follows from the task content that the the amount of butterscotch chips needed can be determined by means of the proportion premise declared in which case;

 • The recipe requires 3 times as many chocolate chips as butterscotch chips.

Hence, when 25oz of chocolate chips is used, the amount of butterscotch needed is 3 times 25 and hence, = 3 × 25 = 75oz.

Which of the following is NOT a requirement of testing a claim about a population proportion using a formal method of hypothesis
Pie

Answer:

A. The lowercase symbol, p, represents the probability of getting a test statistic at least as extreme as the one representing sample data and is needed to test the claim.

Step-by-step explanation:

The conditions required for testing of a claim about a population proportion using a formal method of hypothesis testing are:

1) The sample observations are a simple random sample.

2) The conditions for a binomial distribution are satisfied

3) The conditions np5 and nq5 are both satisfied. i.e n: p≥ 5and q≥ 5

These conditions are given in th options b,c and d.

Option A is not a condition for testing of a claim about a population proportion using a formal method of hypothesis testing.
