In which two nations or religions of the world did europeans primarily establish colonies during new imperialism
Alona [7]

____________________________________________________

Answer:

Your answers would be:

  • Africa
  • Mexico

____________________________________________________

The two nations or regions of the world that the Europeans primarily establish colonies during new imperialism was in Africa and Mexico. They expanded their colonies there.

____________________________________________________

Definition:

New Imperialism:

The new imperialism for the Europeans was when they went to other regions to expand their colony. They wanted to get more territory for themselves.

____________________________________________________

Explanation:

The reason why the places, Africa and Mexico, would be the correct answer because the Europeans found these places was very rich in certain items and materials.

Why they established colonies in Africa:

The reason why European decided to colonize Africa was because Africa had a very specific material that the Europeans found to help out their colony, and that was Metal. Africa was pretty much known for the amount of metal it had, and the Europeans wanted to utilize it. The Europeans spread their colony into Africa so they can get the natural resource, metal, and take it back to Europe. Metal was a rich natural resource that everyone wanted during the new imperialism, specifically during the time of the industrial revolution. They were part of what was known as the "Scramble for Africa."

Why they established colonies in Africa:

The reason why Mexico would be another place the Europeans decided to colonize was because Mexico was rich in oil and crops. Oil is a very expensive and rich resource that everyone wanted to get a hold of, and Europe was one of them. Oil could be used for many things, and Europe wanted to have a lot of it to help out their industries. Because of how rich the natural resource is, Europe decided to establish a colony there. Mexico also had a lot of crops, which made it easy for people there to get a hold of some food, and that benefited the Europeans because they had a food source and didn't have to really worry about not having enough food to survive.

____________________________________________________

Why the other answer choices are incorrect:

The other answer choices: South Africa, India, and Japan would be incorrect because:

South Africa is incorrect because:

The Europeans wanted ALL of Africa, and this was known as the "Scramble for Africa." They didn't want one part of it, they wanted all of it

India is incorrect because:

This was not a place where they established colonies during the new imperialism.

Japan is incorrect because:

This was not a place where they established colonies during the new imperialism.
