The distance of the first truck from the fire is 0.578 mile and the distance of the second truck from fire is 0.722 mile.

<h3>Distance of each truck from the fire</h3>

Using sine rule, we find the length of AB and BC as shown in the image.

a/sin A = b/sin B = c/sin C

Angle C = 180 - (58 + 52) = 70⁰

1.3/(sin 70) = b/(sin 52)

b = (1.3sin 52) / (sin 70)

b = 1.09 mile

c = (1.3sin 58) / (sin 70)

c = 1.1732 miles

Bisect angle C, and use sine rule again to find the lengths of bisected line AB.

1.09/(sin 90) = x/[sin (90 - 58)]

1.09/(sin 90) = x/(sin 32)

x = (1.09 sin 32)/(sin 90)

x = 0.578 mile

Truck B's position from the fire = 1.3 miles - 0.578 mile = 0.722 mile

Hope this isn’t too difficult, my teacher said to show you're work... so I hope you don’t mind explaining how you found it.
SVEN [57.7K]

Answer:

3/4 / 1/6

keep the first fraction the same

3/4

flip the second fraction

6/1

change the division to a multiplication it should then read

3/4 X 6/1

now multiply the fractions

3 X 6 = 18

4 X 1 = 4

18/4 this can then be turned into a mixed number.

there are four 4's in 18 with two left over. so it becomes

4 2/4 and simplified 4 1/2.

Fathi wants to print out a PDF document that is 48484848 pages long. To save paper, he decides to print on both sides of each sh
hodyreva [135]
Yes, as potatoelord said, divide 48,484,848 and 2.
48, 484, 848 ÷ 2 = 24, 242, 424.
This is because Fathi is using one paper for two pages.
Therefore, that is why you divide 48, 484, 848 and 2.

Which expression is a possible leading term for the polynomial function graphed below?
Anon25 [30]

Answer:

D, 22x^9

Step-by-step explanation:

Here's a key for end behavior: Look at the leading term

x^even = x -> neg inf, f(x) -> pos inf; x -> pos inf, f(x) -> pos inf

-x^even = x -> neg inf, f(x) -> neg inf; x -> pos inf, f(x) -> neg inf

x^odd = x -> neg inf, f(x) -> neg inf; x -> pos inf, f(x) -> pos inf

-x^odd = x -> neg inf, f(x) -> pos inf; x -> pos inf, f(x) -> neg inf

dezoksy [38]

Applying the area of a square, the total area of the design is: <em>116 cm²</em>

<h3>Area of Square</h3>

A square has equal side lengths, s, this, the area of a square is given as: A = s².

The three pieces of square shaped cloth that Jordan made the design from is shown in the image attached below.

To find the total area of the design, find the area of each square shaped cloth and add all together.

Thus, applying the area of a square, the total area would be:

Total Area = 4² + 6² + 8²

Total Area = <em>116 cm²</em>
