The text would be like this:

\boxed{ \bold{Translation}}

I remember that when my family and I wanted to go to Ecuador we had to do many things. Previously, my mother reserved the tickets for her, for me, for my father and for my brother in which the trip lasted eight hours. When we already had them, he said that we had to be at the airport at two in the morning, from there we waited half an hour. I bought things in the stores that were there. When the plane arrived, a lady registered us and checked our passports; She then, she let us on the plane. My seat was by the window, I was super happy. Before taking off we had to turn off the electrical appliances and put on our seatbelts. When we took off we began to sleep because it was already night. When I woke up, it was seven in the morning. At that moment a stewardess gave me and my whole family breakfast. There were 2 hours left, so we started talking about visiting many places in Ecuador. Time passed, they told us that we would land soon. Then I felt how we landed, a wonderful feeling! When we landed, we were like in an "airplane parking" we went to the airport. The bus was waiting for us to take us to the train station. It was a fantastic experience!

\boxed{ \bold{Explanation}}

In the text, the country I went to is Ecuador.

Remember that the past tense texts use the simple past perfect and the imperfect past tense a lot. That the past tense to narrate what they have done and the imperfect is to describe how they were or what they did or how they felt.
