WWII started for a few reasons. first of all, there was a lot of fascism, or radical behavior from a dictator going on in italy. second, the japanese military was invading china and creating issues for them. lastly, hitler was taking over germany and his nazi party was slowly getting more and more out of hand as they gained power.
