What does the poem Simile signify?

This poem tells us of the pain and the betrayal that people pass through in the hands of the people they know.

From the first part of the poem, we can see a relationship that has gone apart. The speaker makes this known by relating the mood in the poem to the behavior of the deer.

They are no longer comfortable around themselves. Everyone is on the look out for the actions of the other person.

This is what tears them apart till they are like strangers who can no longer see eye to eye.

These parts of the poem shows that people have become extra cautious around the people they used to know:

 • with heads high
 • with ears forward
 • with eyes watchful

In the second paragraph, the author makes which of the following claims regarding the Class of 1990?
Pachacha [2.7K]

Answer:

C. They are unlikely to follow conventional paths in life.

Explanation:

Answer C

Correct. The author tells the Class of 1990 that they “need not, probably cannot, live a ‘paint-by-numbers’ [formulaic or conventional] life” because they “have a first class education from a first class school.” She uses this as an opportunity to offer her audience advice on how to approach the unconventional lives they should look forward to by asking them to “consider making three very special choices”: to “believe in something larger than yourself,” to find “the joy in life,” and to “cherish your human connections.”

Hope this will help

A Moment to Remember My dad loved baseball. He called himself a student of the game, which meant that he was a voracious reader
Alex787 [66]
In the short story "A Moment to Remember" there are many inspirational characters. Some of the characters are very similar, and can connect in different ways. One of the characters that stand out in the story is Kathy, who enjoys sports, and going to ballgames with her father. A few words that describe her would be compassionate, understanding, even supportive. "Feeling alone and being denied opportunities, I mused, is difficult when you are surrounded by peers." Kathy shows compassion and understanding by relating to the baseball player with her own tough situation, and feeling sympathy for him. Kathy proves herself to be supportive when she says "Silence the catcalls, silence the bigots, silence the hatred," as the African American player goes up to bat.

Hi! This is what I came up with for a paragraph, I REALLY hope this helps you. Sorry that it took so long lol, I had to write it on WordPad because Brainly kept disconnecting.
