Franklin was a single child of his parents. His relationship with his parents, especially with his mother, was very strong. It was her mother's unshakable faith in him that gave him the self-confidence and enabled him to succeed later in life.

What was the Roosevelt's background history?

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was born to James and Sara Roosevelt in 1882. When he was 14 years old, his parents sent him to the Groton School, an exclusive private school for the most wealthy and powerful American families. But he had only been in school for a few weeks as his father passed away.

Between 1906 and 1916, the Roosevelts had six children, one of whom died as an infant. During the summer of 1921, he had poliomyelitis and would never recover the full use of his legs and spent the rest of his life in a wheelchair. However, such hardships taught him that determination eventually conquers even the vastest of obstacles.

Franklin was also highly-knowledgeable in regards to politics and this factor often granted him insight into national discord. By 1932, Roosevelt defeated Republican incumbent Herbert Hoover and became the president.

The Mughal Empire was weakened by which of these issues? A) the Atlantic Slave trade B) an invasion by the Ottoman Empire C) the
Zina [86]

D) a reversal of religious toleration policies

Explanation:

 • Shah Jahan was the ruler who marked a transitional period in the history of India under Muslim rule. At the end of the seventeenth century, it was clear that the Mogul Empire was beginning to decline.
 • The military and the court were too expensive for the state budget, and the rulers continued to invest in lavish cultural achievements, neglecting the agriculture on which all that wealth was based. The
 • economic crisis came to light during the reign of Aurangzeb (1658-1707), who believed that the solution to the crisis lay in the greater discipline of Muslim society.
 • His insecurity was particularly reflected in his murderous hatred of Muslim "heretics" as well as members of other faiths.
 • The heirs abandoned his policy, but the damage had already been done. Even the Muslims themselves were dissatisfied: there was nothing truly Islamic in Aurangzeb's ardent fulfillment of Sharia. Specifically, Sharia advocates justice for all, including the winters. Thus the Mughal Empire began to disintegrate, with local Muslim governors striving to take control of their territories as independent state units.
