In an effort to find some peace and prevent Tyler's little kleptomaniac from taking over his head and compelling him to steal stuff, CyFi is traveling to Tyler's house in Joplin, Missouri.

What CyFi actually does is offer us a glimpse at the book's sci-fi element—the Unwind operation, and in particular, its impact on those who receive organ transplants—by way of a series of short stories.
