Warehouses are generally one of the most expensive rental facilities for a retail business. a) True b) False
sergij07 [2.7K]

Answer:

b) False

Explanation:

Retailers can be defined as an agent of the distribution of goods and services from the wholesaler to the end users or consumers.

This ultimately implies that, the retailers often buy directly from the wholesaler and sells directly to the end users or consumers and as such, retailers are not saddled with the responsibility of buying these goods in larger quantities and storing in a warehouse as compared with a wholesaler who buys and stores in the warehouse.

Hence, warehouses are generally not one of the most expensive rental facilities for a retail business.

On June 17, the Lattern Company issued 120,000 shares of its $0.10 par value common stock in exchange for land. On the date of t
Aloiza [94]

Answer:

The answer is A. Debit: Land, $1,200,000

Explanation:

The journal entry Lattern Company needs to record is:

Dr Land 1,200,000

Cr Common share 12,000

Cr Paid-in capital - Common share   1,188,000

As 120,000 shares is exchanged for the land and the share is traded in the exchange, the value of the land should be recorded at the market price of these 120,000 shares or 120,000 x 10 = $1,200,000.

Common share account is recorded at par value x number of shares issued = 0.1 x 120,000 = $12,000 while Paid-in capital-Common share account records the difference between market price and par value at the time of shares issuance or ( 10 - 0.1) x 120,000 = $1,188,000.

Thus, the correct answer is A. Debit: Land, $1,200,000

zalisa [80]

Answer:

Explanation:

Calculation to determine the current share price

Using this formula

Current share price=6.5*Present value of annuity factor(9.1%,12)

Present value of annuity=Annuity*[1-(1+interest rate)^-time period]/rate

Let plug in the formula

Current share price=6.5*[1-(1+0.091)^-12]/0.091

Current share price=6.5*[1-(1.091)^-12]/0.091

Current share price=6.5*7.124793

Current share price=$46.31

Therefore the current share price will be $46.31

Describe the advantage of increased global trade and competition on the u.S. Economy
Alinara [238K]

Answer:

The United States can specialise in producing goods and services which capitalise on its competitive advantages.

Explanation:

Increased global trade opens the United States (U.S) to international markets. This allows businesses in the U.S  to scale their operations so as to meet world demand. In doing so, these businesses may experience lower costs per unit due to increasing production capacity. This growth in operations could lead to increased competition from foreign businesses seeking to enter or operating in the U.S economy. Owing to this, higher levels of innovation and efficiency at firm level would be instituted so as to offer competitive prices.
