The phlebotomist should dispose off her gloves in the biohazard waste disposal.

  • Phlebotomy is the procedure of inserting a cannula into a vein, typically in the arm, in order to extract blood. Venipuncture, the term for the process, is also used to describe intravenous therapy.
  • Typically, the blood is submitted to a lab for analysis. However, in other cases, the blood is removed to address specific medical issues. The term for this is therapeutic phlebotomy.
  • It eliminates additional red blood cells, blood cells with odd shapes, and superfluous iron.
  • Gloves and other personal protective equipment with blood or other bodily fluids on them, as well as cultures of human or animal specimens are biohazards and are put any waste from different cultures or infectious agents in the red biohazard container.

NutraSweet (aspartame) is not a carbohydrate but rather a modified dipeptide. What is the biochemical explanation for why this m
True [87]

Answer:

Aspartame is found in Nutra sweet which is a modified dipeptide rather than a carbohydrate and they are many times sweeter than monosaccharides galactose because they binds very tightly with the heterodimer GPCR receptors present on the tongue which is made up of proteins called taste receptor type 1 member 2 and taste receptor type 1 member 3.

This tight binding to aspartame generates a neuronal output that is sent to the brain and the brain interprets it as a super sweet compound. It's decrease off rate also contribute to its more sweetening effect.

Therefore the type of binding to taste receptors explains why aspartame is 500 times sweeter in human taste test.

All measurements contain some error. Why is this a true statement?
svetlana [45]
You never can know the exact value of a physical or chemical dimension because several reasons: all the instruments have a certain sensibility (sensibility is the smallest variation of the dimension that the instrument can measure) that cannot be overcame.
